PROCEDURAL TEXT

Apakah Teks prosedural? Pada dasarnya teks prosedural adalah bagian dari kehidupan sehari-hari. mereka memberitahu kita bagaimana sesuatu dilakukan melalui langkah-langkah atau tindakan. kita sering menggunakan teks prosedural, meskipun kita jarang menyadarinya. contoh adalah ketika kita mengikuti petunjuk dari resep di televisi, membaca manual, cara mengaktifkan CD player, dll Struktur dari teks prosedural:
a. Goal(tujuan) contoh: How to make a Soup.
b. Material(Bahan ) : (informasi tepat: jenis, berapa banyak, berapa lama). contoh: plastic bottle
c.Steps(Langkah-langkah) : apa yang harus dilakukan (kata kerja) contoh: cut a thin rectangle .
Contoh dari teks prosedural :

Teks 1
A Marvelous motor car

Materials :
1.    2 clean and dry juice or milk boxes.
2.    Some thin, flexible wire
3.    4 matching plastic bottle caps
4.    Scissors, magic marker, sellotape, paint.

Steps :
1.    Draw the font and the windows of your car on of the empty boxes.
2.    Cut along the lines you have drawn.
3.    To complete the front of the car, cut out the side of the second box. Then, fold it and attach it to the front opening with sellotape.
4.    Cut open the front window from the piece you have just attached.
5.    Make a hole in the centre of each of the four caps
6.    Paint the car with your favorite color. Make two small holes near the bottom of each sides for the wires that will hold the wheels together.
7.    Run a piece of wire through a cap, then through two facing holes on car’s sides. Place another cap on the other end of wire. Do the same thing for the other two wheels. Cover the wire ends with little balls of modeling clay.
8.    Step on the gas! Go ahead.

Teks 2
VANILLA DROPS COOKIES
(Makes 4 dozen)
Ingredients :
1 ½ cups all purpose flour
2 eggs
¼ teaspoons baking powder
1 cup sugar
¼ tesapoons

Directions :
1.            Combine flour and baking powder, set aside.
2.            Beat eggs, sugar, dan vanilla extract in a mixing bowl until light-coloured.
3.            Stir in the flour and baking powder.
4.            Drop the batter by teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto a greased and floured baking sheet. Set aside in a room temperature for 6 hours.
5.            Bake at 350 F for 6 minutes.
6.            Remove from baking sheet to a wire rack to cool.
